Thankful

I am extremely thankful for all of the moments that I get to spend with Eliza, but there are a few moments that I will treasure above all the rest.

1. My heart smiles each morning when I go in her room to get her and she peeks over at me with a big smile and crazy hair. She is always so excited to start a new day and it makes mine.

2. I am a softy for the way her face lights up when Michael walks in the room after being at work or asleep during the day. You can just tell that he means the world to her. 

3. After her last feeding before bed, she always gets lots of kisses from me, but she has started giving kisses back. I wouldn't trade her wet, open-mouthed baby kisses for anything in the world.

4. When she wakes up in the middle of the night to eat, drag myself out of bed wishing she would sleep through the night. But each night, she is barely awake and super cuddly. While she eats, her hand move around until she finds my finger and holds it while she eats. I love seeing her little baby fingers holding on to mine.
5. Finally, although she starts getting fussy near nap time, I love when she sticks her little thumb in her mouth letting me know that she is done. I love how her beautiful eyes get heavy and how she gets snugly. 

While I can't wait to see the beautiful person she will be in the future, I can't imagine not having these parts of my day forever. So, for now, I am thankful for each one of them.
