I looked at her playing today and it hit me! When the heck did she get so big?! I love watching her little brain work when she encounters something new. Speaking of something new, she has figured out the she can throw her toys down the stairs! She grabs a toy, dangles it through the rail and then looks back at me. Little toot!

CHICKEN
Eliza has made her way through the starting vegetables, so we are now on our way to a few meats. The first is chicken. At first (picture above) she didn't seem to like it. After a few more bites, I could not get it into her mouth quick enough!
Here, mom! Let me do it! This has been the messiest of feedings that we have had so far. Because it is grittier, she was getting it everywhere! I think she is going to enjoy this stage!
This is what happens when you play so hard. This is utter exhaustion and means it is time for a nap. This I have loving coined the 'punched in the face cry'. That's what it sounds like. Sweet baby went straight to sleep.

Play until you drop
Again, my adorable daughter is rocking the head band. It cracks me up every time she pops up and gives a big smile because her hair is a mess! She is using so much energy these days getting around that she is eating like a grown man and is wearing herself out. After about an hour of playing, I looked over and this is what I saw!
She had to lay her little head down and take a break. This was my sign that she needed a nap. She, of course, fought it, but within minutes, she was sound asleep. Never mind the bald spot, it's growing in nicely ;)
After Eliza had her bath and story time, it was time to fill her up with the last time. I couldn't help myself! I need a few more pictures because she was looking so cute with her curly hair and lady bug PJs. She's my little love bug :) <3

The Dog She Can't Catch
It is known that Eliza has crazy, beautiful hair. Well, now she knows it and refuses to keep bows in it, which aside from being really darn cute, keep her hair out of her eyes. In an effort to allow her to see, I have started using elastic head bands. She hasn't quite figured out how to take them off yet. Two problems have come up: 1) They scoot up like in the above picture, and 2) She pulls a Geordi La Forge and it covers her eyes, which freaks her out. Right now, it is still the best option.
She is quite efficient about scooting around the house. She can get to Angel and Coral when she wants to, but the other "dog" won't stay still for her to get it. The cat usually wants NOTHING to do with Eliza, but tonight let her guard done. She was being super needy and wanted to be pet, so she jumped up and got some loving. Eliza thought that was the greatest thing. She was very gentle with Saphira and giggled each time she touched her. It was a wonderful sight and sound.

Game Night
Since we have been super busy lately working on the house, we decided to treat ourselves with a game night at Brian's. We went over at about 3 today and played the game Diplomacy. We had tons of fun and learned a new game. Eliza was stellar. She got to explore Brian's apartment by army crawling everywhere.
After we finished the game, Eliza got to hang out with the boys for a few minutes while they geeked out on one of Brian's new games. I think she fits right in :)

Trouble Maker!
This morning, during Eliza's first nap, I put down the new rug for the living room and rearranged a bit, to give Eliza the most floor room possible. I think I might finally have the living area Eliza-proof, at least for now.
She is enjoying her new found freedom and exploration. Since she Army crawls like a champ, she can get anywhere around the house she wants. Because of this, she now answers to "Hey, Trouble Maker!"
She likes playing with the air conditioner vent. I need to make sure that she doesn't close it so that it stays warm in here.
She found the vacuum cleaner, but thankfully it doesn't have any parts that she can get to. When I called out for my Trouble Maker, she popped her head around the corner with a devious little smile :)
How can you fuss at that face ;)

Nom Nom
Eliza is up to 2 meals a day with solids and thinks that sweet potatoes and white potatoes are great! I bought her a mesh fresh food feeder for her to start feeding herself. It is really nice because I can put fresh or frozen veggies in it and it seems to soothe her gums. I make all of her baby food and store it in ice trays. These little food cubes fit perfectly in them! She gets so messy, though!
I think her eye color is mostly set. They are somewhere in between a blue and brown and are very pretty. I must admit that I am envious of her eyelashes. She is the prettiest little thing I have EVER seen.
